This cabinet design company sells and installs custom cabinets sourced from several U.S.-based manufacturers. They offer complete design services for commercial, multi-unit and residential projects. The majority — about 70 percent — of their customers are builders and contractors, and the remainder are individual homeowners. They saw a decline due to COVID-19 but are busier than ever and rebounding to pre-pandemic levels.
Two of the four owners are retiring — the other owners, as well as key management and staff, are interested in staying post-sale. They have done virtually no marketing or advertising, relying on referrals and ongoing relationships with contractors. A concerted marketing effort, coupled with an expanded sales force, are options to help grow the business. Some seller financing may be negotiable for a well-qualified buyer.
